when i put a cd or a floppy disc surrounded by my pc i can not play them but if i put a dvd contained by it will play ?

Go to control panel - system - hardware - device manager - DVD/CD-ROM drives. Click on your CD-ROM, the blind will tell you if the device is working properly, if it's not, you may only need to see the device. If that does not work, go to the driver tab and install driver. The computer will hunt for a driver in window, let it pick a driver, simply to get the compact disc working. You can go to the manufacturer's website after that to find an up to date driver.
Do the same for your floppy drive. If that does not work buy a modern CD-ROM and floppy drive.
you should go to my computer and double clilck on the cd drive
