In the bottom partly of the right hand side of the skylight...

right-click on the D drive

click:Select Drive Letter & Path

click:Change

pick a letter... (say) K - of late to free up D...

click:OK

right-click on the E drive

click:Select Drive Letter & Path

click:Change

pick D...

click:OK

This will remap the drives so that your functioning drive is now regarded as D.

If the nature of the drives is different - articulate a CD vs a DVD, and/or a ROM drive vs a writer - next other thinks may very well go pear shaped. But you can adjustment the mappings again once you have restored.

Consider the posibility that the map changes may not in reality be necessary - could it hurt to try it as is?

Good Luck!
If you are looking to own the same drive memo as when you made the disc, it should not matter.

But if you want , check your HELP on the PC

You can renovate the drive letter using "Computer Management"
