how do you give an account if your motherboard is compatable with a processor. I am interested surrounded by upgrading my P4 chip with the strange dual core. But I don't have a clue if it's compatable. How do I relate?

Find the website for the manufacturer of your motherboard - that's really the single way to report to. Depending on the manufacturer, it can be really unproblematic to find a CPU/Mobo compatibility matrix, but sometimes it can be awful. What company makes your motherboard?
The intel core 2 Duo adjectives have socket LGA 775 ... check whether your Motherboard supports it, you can any call customer support or check website... your instruction book may not mention it coz there wouldnt enjoy been a core 2 duo at the time you bought your p4....
