Computer still won't play video after re-format.?

Our stupid Dell wouldn't play video, only froze up and when you ctl-alt-del and bring up the task negotiator (which then took forever) it would voice cpu usage 100% and we would have to do a tough shutdown.

So I reformated it and it's still doing that. My guess now is that it is a hardware issue? We enjoy 2X512MB PC3200 ram and a unknown video card I bought so I could play CIV IV. It won't run in quicktime, actual, online videos, or win medium player.

What is your best guess that needs replaced? We still play adjectives types of games, but dvd's and all other medium won't play.

HELP!

Computer still won't play video after re-format.?

Reinstall the video drivers!
Update all your drivers and check for firmware upgrades for adjectives components (especially vid / audio related hardware) before blaming hardware. I doubt it's a hardware problem if it's lone MEDIA that's not working properly.
