Computer query - please read?

on some mobile phones it have 'infrared', but my phone has infrared to use next to a mobile *to send stuff for free*, and also infrared to the computer?. i be wondering how to use the infrared to the computer? do i have to turn something on approaching infrared on my computer? im really not sure.

Any help would be great gratitude.

For uploading through Infrared: First you should get an IRDA lateral and connect it to your PC. It's usually a USB device. Connect it and install the software.



Now there are two cases:



a. any your phone supports IRDA directly and in such shield it's sufficient to upload the .jar file to your phone by right clicking on the profile and use 'Send to' menu. Note that you should configure IRDA properly to connect to the phone. We are using the following configuration for SigmaTel USB-IRDA: "Infrared Transiver Type": SigmaTel 4000, "Min. Turn-Around Time": 1.0ms, "Speed Enable": 115200.



b. or your phone doesn't support IRDA directly but has IR. In such covering you should use your manufactorer software like Nokia PC Suite
you would enjoy to check in control panel to see if your computer is equiped near infrared capabiity, if it is it should be allways on.then you call for to check program compatibility between your two devices

there should be IR device for computer have been added to your system. later only you can verbs the data through your mobile to PC through IR.
