Connecting laptop to PC?

Buy a USB or ethernet (both computers will need ethernet adapters for that option) crossover cable, any one will work.
first you can connect the laptop with the workstation by using network cable.. so you must own the network card within the two machines.

network or LAN ( local nouns Network) should resolve ur problem in the internet sharing and within the files transfering too..

you can also connect them using usb cable but you should have software installed into the two machines. but adjectives the available software can only consent to you transfer you files between but you cant get hold of internet sharing line.

to connect the two machines using LAN you must enter these values into:

unscrew Network connection- right click on local area nouns -properties -in general tab choose internet protocol TCP/IP consequently click properties- check the use the following IP address and enter these valubles :

for the 1st PC which must connected to the Internet

IP address : 192.168.0.1

Subnetmask : 255.255.255.0

Default gateway : 192.168.0.1

DNS settings you must get from the ISP

the 2nd PC :IP address : 192.168.0.3

Subnetmask : 255.255.255.0

Default gateway : 192.168.0.1

and DNS equal of the first one .
you need a router to connect them together using a CAT5 cable.
Use facts cable CAT5 connect. More details in Windows Help for Home Networking. Follow instructions of Engineering It to setup TCP/IP address.
