Computer relief (Power Supply)?

OK i own a 20 pin PS and i have a 24 PIN Mobo but it say that it is a 20+4 but i have a 4 pin power entry that plugs into the another slot into the MOBO. So can i just pulg the 20 pin surrounded by and leave the 4 slots not pluged into anything and spawn it work?

Computer relief (Power Supply)?

Newer motherboards have 24 pin connectors. Older ones enjoy 20 pin. Most new power supplies enjoy a 24 pin connector that you can take the concluding 4 pins out in grip you have an elder board. Makes for backwards compatibility if your power supply fails and wants to be repalced. That's why they call that connector 20+4

You have need of a new power supply beside a 24 pin connector. It will also have the other auxiliary connector that plugs into the other slot.
Everything should work, but any overclocking you may do will be smaller amount stable.
i thought most 20+4 connectors had 4 pins that be in alike bundle that could be connected to the other 20 with a bit clip

but if yours doesnt, you may need a different power supply to draw from teh full power to the system

and it should be fine, as long as you dont have tons of cards plugged into your motherboard
