my cd drive on my dell dimension 2400 computer approved it didnt feel resembling working. when i put a disk in it doesnt appear to reconize that its in here, like the laser that read it doenst work. how do i fix it?

this happened to me once, the drive on my dell 2400 only died...so i bought a dvd burner for like $30 from http://newegg.com
Either Windows stop reconizing it or it requirements to be replaced. I would say the compact disc drive went unpromising. If so you will need to repace it. If it's underneath warrantee have it check out!
if still underneath warrantee have them put contained by new one if not next remove it puyt in topical one all contained by one dvd rw .- & + ur get one for just about .$40
