I enjoy just brought myself an out-of-date Compaq Proliant DL380 (The white one, not the new HP series) to perform as a cheap file server.
When i articulate cheap i don't mean from a bazaar etc. I know the controller works.
I have a 3200 Array Controller installed on PCI slot 3, in attendance are 3 SCSI Ultra3 drives connected to the array. However when i boot the system it does not see any SCSI devices connetected. I have tested near othe SCSI drives that i know work and have an OS installed on them and still no luck.
Im usually pretty good beside SCSI but this has moved out me at a dead terminate. Any help would be greatly appricieated.
Compaq 3200 Array Controller?
Have you checked the boot decree in the bios and/or for a boot join in cards pick? Also does the SCSI BIOS screen pop up after the ordinary POST screens the computer does? Typically the computer shows its boot screen, then the SCSI card BIOS loads up, if that's stirring and its not booting from your array its probably just a BIOS setting need changed, if the SCSI BIOS doesnt show either the controller is doomed to failure or the PC doesn't like supply in cards beside BIOS's.
